Pre-pregs are composite materials, fiber-reinforced plastic, or FRP reinforcement that's "pre-impregnated" with a resin system. Most of the time, the resins used are epoxy resins, but there are instances when other resins are used, such as thermosets and thermoplastics.

However, thermoset and thermoplastic pre-pregs are different from pre-pregs made from epoxy. These materials are usually used in composite manufacturing.
